Jeffires: It was a dream! We live in the dream!.
bloody Greetings readers!. You know that after a hangover the consequences may vary. Some are tired, dehydrated, with a headache. Others feel crude morals and can not get up in physical pain. Some may feel elated and want to continue the party. Others feel paranoia, chills, and his senses are altered. I've been all kinds of hangovers. Including some with depression and fear.
of the worst mistakes I've made recently was to see "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me" during a hangover paraonoia, with my senses altered, and some depression. It was a pleasant experience but nothing amazing, terrifying, mysterious and almost supernatural. It's a David Lynch film. Although I had not had a hangover, this film I would have changed anyway.
This is without doubt one of the scariest movies without being of Terror. One of the most amazing films, nightmarish though his story is not so complex. Lynch becomes a linear story that would be so easy to follow as AB but inserted in a circle in which everything becomes complicated and difficult to assimilate.
I do not think I returned from my trip to Twin Peaks.
PLOT The movie is a prequel to the dark TV series created by David Lynch and Mark Frost. In general, without giving many details, tell them that this is the chronicle of the last days of Laura Palmer, school girl, sexy cheerleader, seemingly perfect blonde with good reputation. The truth is that behind the perfect figure, inside she was little more than shattered.
Their lifestyle was little more than wild. Many drugs consumed excessively, drank alcohol like water, having sex for fun, and suddenly found himself living in a dark world that ended his life.
Movie similia begins with a case, a year before the events of Twin Peaks. The murder of a girl named Teresa Banks hit the small community. This town is small but dark, souls of its inhabitants are in constant fear. There is an evil vibe and apparently an evil that lurks in the community.
Two FBI agents, Chet Desmond and Sam Stanley investigating this murder. What they find is so confusing and pointless that even affects your mind. Chet Desmond disappears after finding a clue "key". A year later, the story returns to Twin Peaks, just where we learned the last days of Laura.
COMMENTS David Lynch explores the dark may be the human mind. We've seen some of his movies. On this occasion we are witnessing the depressive stages in the life of Laura culminating in his tragic death. His agony is difficult to see while feeling uncomfortable and even feel bad for her. It is easy to see that a sweet girl, ordinary life experience that breaks apart as a result of excess ... and an inexplicable reality.
Do you know how it feels to watch a Lynch film?. Easy. I imagine standing in the middle of a point "zero", turning on my own axis with the effect of "Matrix" while floating in front of me air (in the case of the Head): a dwarf dressed in red, a troubled girl, two FBI agents with no idea of what happens, a child with a white mask, her grandmother's dark, the sign of a nation, a possession , sex, drugs, and images are meaningless as a painting of a door between "open. I have everything in my power but I can not touch, much less bring it down to reality and place.
The centerpiece of the film is the strange relationship between Laura Palmer and her father, Leland.
But being a David Lynch film, we know many other things happening around the main story. Some situations are not essential to the story but later or later will make sense in your mind.
This leads to the first part of the movie, in which two FBI agents "lost" in the case to have few clues. In fact, after we learn that all agents have been involved in the case have gone because they "are" in a dream and stuck in a dark cabin. What the fuck? I also wondered if that but up to you to give a satisfactory interpretation.
I am convinced that this first part of the movie is the most difficult to understand but is somehow relevant to understanding what happens behind the story. Everyone has something to hide in this town ...
What can "zoom" to a conventional audience this movie is its high level of strangeness, brutality, and the high use of symbolism . Many will not understand and how they would do if this is one of the most bizarre films ever created!. I once commented to those who have "wanted" to see her. This is not a film for everyone. You need a bit of pleasure to Lynch to enjoy his unique vision, that's the only truth.
Lynch throws us without mercy in a world that only he understands how it works. Not just yet we can enjoy it with caution and a mind very, very open.
Here there are giving the food in your mouth, you have to know how to chew before digesting it. History is full of human decadence. Sexual decadence, drugs, alcohol, physical, sexual, mental, all this through pleasant scenes nothing but great atmosphere. In reality any time purchases as if you were witness to what happens.
I have not seen the TV series but from what I know, Lynch is responsible for anything to remind us that this is similar to what can make television. Not at all, this is a movie completely oblivious to what We see on TV makes that clear.
We such bizarre situations that you can only live in your dreams ... or drugs. Apes have totaled articulate words, an elderly woman dressed in widow and her grandson who uses a white mask with a nose pointing while jumping and clapping, nasty drug, a Sheriff who bounced me laugh with his picture on the folding steel, paranormal situations , a fan intimidating, a dwarf macabre, a green ring appears to be the balance between the real world and dreams, an evil entity known as BOB, etc.
THIS IS FOR ME TOO!. "Fire Walk With Me" is not only the story of Laura as Lynch is responsible for dragging us into a story that uses terror hardcore issues like child sexual abuse and how a girl has to deal with it. And just that sexual abuse is what led me the edge of terror and insanity. Suddenly, becoming a clear example of sexual abuse, the film becomes a journey (malviaje) of demonic possession through different stages.
The moment that Laura tells Harold that Bob wants to force the killing is totally scary, one of the most terrifying moments I've experienced lately. The acting, music, atmosphere, yellow teeth and blue. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr. It was a bad idea to see this scene in the cold night with a stunning moon.
Laura's life through flashbacks we understand it, so that Lynch had to give total control of turns the character rather than follow a linear story. As he had the power to generate loneliness, grief, sadness, guilt and confusion that are derived from incest and rape. This is a torment. That is caused by demonic possession or mental illness is different.
I can not just pick a position and that both seduce me. As a fan of horror movies I go for possession. But that sounds like "Black Swan", I believe that demons are a reflection of how Laura can not "Deal" with the fact of being brutally raped by her father. BOB could be seen as the physical embodiment of evil or as the spectrum created by the mind of Laura.
As for the negatives, I think Lynch might have reduced the running time only 90 minutes or maybe a little more. Many scenes have nothing to do and could be excluded without any problem. For example, the study of the corpse of Teresa and the key to the letter "T" found in your fingernail. Or no explanation for the blue rose. How about the white horse?. Ahh, Rob Zombie is rightly obsessed with the idea in "Halloween II"
I also suggest that the fact that people do not even exist in reality offers a bizarre nature of the film that is hard to believe that everything is happening. For example, the scene in which the agent played by David Bowie is featured in the video footage from the security camera. The guy was lost for almost 2 years.
These bizarre and strange moments can create boredom and confusion. After the bar scene may not have much patience who can bounce the movie and say "good luck, see you later '. But come on, this happens with almost all the films of David Lynch. So it should not be a problem. But
I repeat, not a genre film, much less a conventional so take precautions.
Personally, I enjoy this type of experience. After seeing the movie I felt dirty, lonely, confused and lost. I moved to Twin Peaks as Dale Cooper, I could not get out.
actuació Ó N Sheryl Lee gives a monumental performance, completely out of range could be considered vintage. That sounds like Natalie Portman in "Black Swan", Sheryl Lee confronts it and the darkness of the tragic life he lives. Has to deal with sexual abuse, possession, and a life of excesses no doubt have changed their notion of reality. Some voices on the internet state that Nina's character in "Black Swan" is a light version of Laura in this movie. She deserved an Oscar for this brilliant performance.
As for his "skin" on many occasions we see her bare breasts. Normally scenes of seduction. This girl has totally incredible legs. I love women who use sleeping gowns and sexy garters and other sexy lingerie. That's why I like girls who are demure on the outside, and that privacy is the most intense. Laura is a clear example. Follari day and night but this girl was possessed and in a fit of laughter, tears and screams. Yes, I'm just as sick as her.
Ray Wise gives a memorable performance but a bit overacted. The guy knows how to express fear, sadness, anger, disbelief, and especially crazy.
Frank Silva as Bob is one of the most frightening I've seen in mivida. Something like the scary man in "Lost Highway." So, we're talking major leagues in fear. The rate captures the negative vibe of the early 90's with a grunge look, dirty, angry. It is a physical representation of fear and even if we go further, it is Laura sees exactly how the suddenly being raped. Many believe that BOB is the spirit that possessed the father each time he raped his daughter. Even just a mirror we know who are the same person. Brrrrrr.
Chris Isaak rocked my world and "Twin Peaks" as the unorthodox badass agent is lost in the bizarre case that has touched. The type is attractive and his personality is present at all times. Kiefer Sutherland plays
quite well to nerve agent and follows all his actions by "the booklet." Totally different from Chet who gets results through their own methods.
My girlfriend has Madchen Amick little screen time but as always looks beautiful. Moira Kelly is perfect as the inseparable friend of Laura who also falls into a world of excess. Her innocent look counteracts the dirt of his actions. .. Beautiful breasts dear.
Kyle MacLachlan has little screen time but his acting is so good you want to have more time. Enigmatic as ever.
was good to see Harry Dean Stanton, David Bowie, David Lynch himself, among others, in cameos pretty groovy.
GORE / BLOOD Ahhh
have an exotic menu and not long before seen. Yes, we have blood like a broken skull by a bullet, brutal beatings, stabbings, a detached nail (ouch!).
But I think that what most affects your senses are the scenes WTF?! As the dream / nightmare in which the dialogues are spoken other way around, a dwarf saying "I am the arm," the time of possession, the fan dark, the lights flashed around when something creepy happen, and Above all, the uncertainty of not knowing what's real and what is nightmare. This my friends, is more frightening than anything you can see.
Ó N ADDRESS
uffff, why Getting started. David Lynch gives us an unconventional film with amazing moments and that he alone can understand. Wow, is the stuff of nightmares and how the asimiliar while trying to live. We take stylized, creative moments in unlikely places scream generated recurring. Examples of how the atmosphere is complex but the address given in the bar when girls take drugs to the ears and have sex with any thug. I was part of the bar, totally. Nightmares also give you an idea of how Lynch is concerned. It's like being in a twilight zone in which is spoken on the contrary, the basic elements that remind you that you are living the reality is altered, etc. This trip is totally fucked up and frightening.
Scene guardian angel seemed bright. It is touching, frightening, soothing, and so on. It's a poetry to incomididad and chilling. Redemption can mean fear.
level of tension and atmosphere that I think could be cut with a fingernail. I felt uncomfortable all the time.
When we are introduced to Laura reminded me of both "Halloween" by John Carpenter gave me chills the way that runs through the neighborhood is very atmospheric.
Thanks David Lynch to create a world so far from reality and difficult to conceive in the mind conventional. Kudos for Cinematography and Art Direction, essential elements to create a world like this.
SOUNDTRACK
Excellent topics that fill the atmosphere of uncertainty and fear. Angelo Badalamenti created music that accurately reflects what happens in the movie. Also the tunes add a little jazz experience a plus. Club music also works ... and has to work better under the influence of any drug.
RECOMMENDATION ON
Fully recomenada for Lynch fans. Not a movie for everyone. If you want Terror 100% will not find it, but if you're the kind of viewer who always expect something different from a movie, definitely give it a chance.
Thriller
If you expect a direct and linear, look elsewhere. You get bored, despair, and angry. Great in my opinion. Alter my emotions in the supernatural, sexual, and the terrifying. I felt little more than an eyewitness to the events. I lived and stayed in my mind. And they will for long.
