Greetings dear readers!.
Ahhhh, "The Lost Boys." Along with "Fright Night" and "Near Dark" is my favorite vampire movie of the 80's. It is like my favorite vampire trilogy because it contains elements that defined my childhood and teenage years.
The consequences of this type of movies do not always work as it is difficult to recapture the essence of Comedy-Horror.
The case of "The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe" is unusual because it made 21 years after the original. Let's see what resulted from that dig my teeth into the sequel ...
PLOT
The orphan and former surfer Chris Emerson and his sister Nicole move to Luna Bay expecting to start a new life in the house of his Aunt Jillian and thus be free household expenditure. The only condition to live with his aunt is paying rent. They must be distracted to deal with the death of their parents.
Chris seeks job as "polishing" of surfboards to cover their expenses. While in the City knows the ex-surfer Shane Powers, who invites Chris to a Surfers party night.
Before the party, the brothers try to locate Edgar Frog who creates surfboards and is a former vampire hunter. Seek him in his trailer to ask for work and then to tell you about the past of the town and in the end, for help against the band of vampires.

The brothers attended the party at which Shane is linked to Nicole who drinks alcohol he offers. After that, she becomes half human and half vampire. Edgar Frog has warned that she drank vampire blood that can only be saved if you kill the leader of the gang of vampires.

Chris and Edgar must find the lair of the tribe of vampires and kill Shane to save Nicole. Where had I seen that before?.
COMMENTS
Honestly, I got more than I expected. My expectations were very low and therefore I enjoyed this sequel to give perspective. From the first 5 minutes was understood in which direction the movie. This means that I knew there had to be taken seriously. My problem was I could not stop thinking about the original and this sequel but the film tries to be a "unique", you can not shake the vibe and the elements of the cult classic 1987.

If safe, have enough action and gore to enjoy but at times the weak plot and dialogues remind us that this is a direct effort to Video without much effort. Even so I can recommend to any fan who enjoys movies "B" because it is a dynamic addition to the vampire sub-genre.
But forget the basic rules in the Cinema of Vampires. It all comes to new trends.

This new wave of vampires is not as compelling or scary like the original but instead we have plenty of action, good gore, and a most earnest and sexy vampire than hell. Ah, we also have surf moments like MTV video music pop-rock, and dress a little cool.

Some scenes I was surprised by his unexpected level of violence and death of the vamp, beheading some extremely good, and the explosion of a very crazy head. Very good. The attack on the beach is another moment of relevance.
In terms of budget, I think it was a duty because the CGI is not as good but is not so cheap. I think it works because the production values \u200b\u200bdo not ask for much. It's like an MTV video that takes place on the beach with images of surfers in the background.
The story is almost identical to the original (changing roles). The situation could not miss the "vampire hunter." It was a positive and nostalgic hit him bringing back Edgar Frog with all its black humor action .... y. .. eh.

Corey Feldman is something like a guilty pleasure. The guy is nice and created a reputation in the genre but in recent years is more like a cult.
Autumn Reeser is extremely sexy and I enjoyed the scene of sex. Not a goth scene as poetic as the original but still very sexy.

Her face is beautiful, her delicious body. I would dig my fangs in your beautiful day and round rear. Yes, that good is. Such
Hilgenbrink stallion does his role and it works. It was extremely cool to see the beheading of Tom Savini at first. I love the cameos of this bastard.
was also good to hear the remake of "Cry Little Sister". You see, the nostalgia factor saved from burning sequel.

scenarios were cool to watch and thanks to the excellent cinematography you feel part of the environment. Very good.
unfortunately negative points are critical. First of all, a garlic I did not mind any of the vampires. None is charismatic at all. Where Kindred was the band why wouldst even match?.

Then, the story is very predictable. It is ridiculous that with carbon copy to the original. True, except for the sexy and gore level is exactly the same.
recommend this sequel to the original fans and those who enjoy movies "B" Direct to Video.
